this blog was created to show a different side of images by andre. so you'll see pictures of my family as well as places i have been. you will also see pictures with no comments as sometime i'll just let an image speak for it's self.
there will be times when i come across a commercial image that i have taken and is out of the ordinary for me, i will post and discuss my thought process behing the image
so hopefully, this blog will help you gain a different perspective about images by andre.
I am a just a guy who picked up a camera (around 2005 i think) because I loved to take pictures of buildings as a hobby and as a break from my day job as a software engineer.
Over a period of time, I started taking pictures of high school seniors and weddings and eventually created images by andre.
I still love to create great software but my #1 passion is creating interesting images of people, places and things!
no, i am not talking about the color me badd music group! i am thinking how i wanted to use more color this year so i tried to add some color to the studio by adding reds, oranges, greens, purples colored backgrounds and furniture. i guess i was getting too earth toned so i wanted a splash of colors to liven things up a bit
…but you do know i will get tired of color and go back to more earth toned colors…then more brighter colors…then more earth toned…

Fanboy (sometimes spelled fanboi) is a term used to describe an individual who is devoted to a single fannish subject, or to a single point of view within that subject, often to the point where it is considered an obsession. Fanboys remain loyal to their particular obsession.
we have been updating the images by andre facebook fan page and its now to the point where we feel comfortable launching it. its geared mainly towards high school seniors and the photo album will only contain senior style images…or maybe some j-kids photos that i am still working on
so please feel free to stop by and become a stalker….uhmmm i mean ‘fan’
you would think that as a photographer that i would have 1000’s of pictures of my kids but for me its just not true. i think one of the problems is that its hard for me to take pictures if the ’scene’ and lighting is not perfect or the usable. its hard for me to switch hats and just take a picture for memory sake…which is why i have never used the camera feature on any of my phones over the years.
this is the last picture i took of jordyn and this was a while ago!
…and poor jayden, i haven taken pictures of him since his 1st birthday party…but its really not my fault anymore as he just won’t stay still for the camera anymore as he has better things to do like sneaking to eat a piece of chalk or running around the studio and etc.
these were the last ‘official’ images of jayden before he became a man.
i need to get jordyn down to the studio soon as the ‘kinfolks’ have been nudging me for some ‘mo’

as i continue to shift my focus away from wedding to doing more seniors and now…children pictures! at first i was apprehensive about doing children (and i am still am) but after taking a step back and realizing that not all kids are nightmares i figured i would i would give my interpretation of what children images should look like.
i haven’t decided if the focus on kids pictures will be more infants, toddlers or just kids so expect a lot of changes going from here on out. the one thing i do know is that i don’t want to create images that are similar to some of the chain stores but something entirely different and unique. because of the directions i am going in, not everyone can be a ‘j kid’!
the determining factor will be how you dress your child. if you prefer to where barney inspired pants with elmo t-shirts to a photo session then ‘j kids’ may not be for you.

The concept is to serve a wide variety of different cuts of beef, pork, lamb, chicken, etc., in succession, to each diner individually right at their table, thus there is not a traditional menu. The restaurant features a fixed-price continuous table side service. In addition diners can choose from 40 different salads including sushi, seafood and pastas at their leisure from salad bar.
last saturday, shandrea and a couple of our friends went to the brasa grill on west 9th and we have never ever been so overwhelmed with the amount of meat they were serving, it felt like we were dinosaurs or something! we loved the experience but if you are a vegetarian I would definitely avoid this place! imagine a restaurant where every waiter comes to your table and cuts the meat in front of you and then then the next waiter (different kind of meat) comes and does that same and the serving never stops until you say ‘no más’
just wanted to wish everyone a happy valentines day. this got me to thinking that I should show some a couple of images of couples I have done this past year….
i have known ariss for over 10+ years now so i was grateful that adrian and her wanted me to take some engagement photos for them. i would have loved to have had some outdoor photos but the weather is so cold here and it just wasn’t possible! i know better know better NOW as ariss was the very first senior picture and let’s just say that cold fingers + camera equipment + freezing clients are not a good combination!
