jury selection

i guess homer’s advice didn’t work as i was selected for jury duty and not only that i made the ‘final’ 12

i am excited about the whole process and seeing how it compares to television. the one thing that immediately caught my attention was that the lawyers were not as well polished as their hollywood actors one of them seem to struggle putting sentences together it wasn’t broken english but more like starting a thought…then changing the thought…then coming back to the original thought.

anyway, it seemed like the judge, prosecutor and defense attorney kept coming back to me about some statements i made. i wonder what i said…..;-)

i can’t believe i am playing a kids game!

the Xbox 360 doesn’t have a lot of kid friendly games (well at least not yet) so when i heard that viva piñata was coming out i just knew that this would be the perfect game for jordyn to play. the only problem….i won’t give her control of the game because i am too busy playing the game. i mean hours at a time and it’s so embarrassing because people on my friend’s list can clearly see that I have been playing the game…and have a lot of xbox achievements for it :-(

…now if you don’t mind I have to find a way to get the horse piñata to appear in my garden so see you later!

…my next mp3 player

well my 1980’s looking DELL dj was…aquired a couple of weeks ago so i have been looking for a replacement MP3 player. off everyone else has an iPod and with them dropping the price to $249 for the 30GB model, its a VERY nice option but… close your eyes because this thing is ugly! but it works and thats all that i need when i writing software during the day.

why just be like everyone else! doesn’t anyone want to be unique anymore? that’s why i am looking at microsoft’s up and coming Zune MP3 player.

not yet

well today i finally got the keys to the ‘warehouse area’ in cleveland, but the place wasn’t as complete as i thought it would be :-( so that probably means that some images i was planning on creating this weekend will have to wait.

it was really nice to have shandrea there to remind me that our dream will come true. sometimes i think she is more excited than i am. stay tuned as i will post some images of the place and more importantly some nicely lit indoor images that i haven’t really showcased yet. the warehouse area has large windows so creating images using natural light will be quite easy.

…superman returns

…after much reluctance i decided to go see this movie because i thought superman had been worn out from all of the tv shows like ‘lois & clark’ and smallville, but…i actually like it!

i guess it was the special effects(…or maybe i had watched the trailer to much on my xbox 360) but the story was compelling and believable plus I sort of felt sad for lois’s boyfriend! you can’t string someone along if your heart is with someone else!!!!

anyway, i would actually buy the DVD of this movie and that the true test if i like a movie…would you watch it again and again and again…

someone emailed me this video of groom that just lost himself during the wedding ceremony! for the life of me i can’t figure out why he reacted this way.

was it because he had been praying for her for about 10 years and it finally happened? i don’t know but the wife seem to take it in stride. enjoy

how many of us can actually sing the national anthem without help? I know I can’t but if someone asked me to sing I would at least practice first! witness this poor police officer struggle in this VIDEO a friend sent me!!!!

full of life

i just got back from washington DC to celebrate mileah’s graduation from howard university. i really love my new inlaws as they are so full of life.

i only have one problem with them…it seems as if they are still bitter about the cavs beating the wizards in the playoff!! :-)
