Andre asked me the other day when is it ok to wear white pants. And it got me thinking about all the people who wear white pants and those who are doing it right and others………well let’s just keep this post positive!! White is a very pretty color to wear in the spring and summer. It has a very fresh, vibrant and clean look. And that is the topic of this post is how to wear white keeping the look fresh, fun and my favorite word classic or timeless. The number one mistake you can make is not wearing the right material under your white pants – if you get what I mean! With white pants, you can see everything ladies – especially when the sun is out. Do society a favor by not showing us your “Victoria’s Secret”!   If you can do that, you are well on your way to a nice look.
Below are some examples of how to wear white bottoms:

You can’t go wrong with a white suit. You can wear to the office but I like this look out at night. Paired with the right shoes, handbag and jewelry - very NICE! If you think the black top with a white suit is too 1970’s – John Travolta disco era – then pair with another color. I’m thinking a chocolate cami would look nice.
White top and bottom – classic look. Add a metallic bracelet to complete the look.   Or to make this look a little more casual – add a jean jacket.
White and black together is timeless. I like the black jacket paired with the shorts. That’s nice if you’re going on a vacation - Islands, Miami or even Vegas.

Color with white is pretty when done right. The key to pulling this look off is try not to wear bold, bright colors with a bright white bottom. You can easily cross the line from trendy to tacky. With an outfit like this – minimal accessories are required. Possibly a small bracelet is only needed.
Fashion tip: When you wear white, you will be noticed. Don’t distract or overdo it with your jewelry – more is definitely less. Metallic jewelry looks really nice with white.
Please note – all fashion tips are only my opinions! And yes the whole theory of “you can’t wear white after labor day” is so 1960’s – but I will say that there is a different type of white you should wear in the fall and winter. Its called winter white!Â
Until next week………………S.
