a future bride joy, gave me a call and told me that people either loved this engagement image or hated it
what about you? do you love it or hate it?

this blog was created to show a different side of images by andre. so you'll see pictures of my family as well as places i have been. you will also see pictures with no comments as sometime i'll just let an image speak for it's self.
there will be times when i come across a commercial image that i have taken and is out of the ordinary for me, i will post and discuss my thought process behing the image
so hopefully, this blog will help you gain a different perspective about images by andre.
I am a just a guy who picked up a camera (around 2005 i think) because I loved to take pictures of buildings as a hobby and as a break from my day job as a software engineer.
Over a period of time, I started taking pictures of high school seniors and weddings and eventually created images by andre.
I still love to create great software but my #1 passion is creating interesting images of people, places and things!

some churchs have guidelines that restrict the photographer from moving during the services or ceremony so my only choice was to shoot from the balcony area and this was a very large church! i was still able to get some shots that i liked.

p.s. congratulations to souleatha and allen! i have known souleatha from a couple years back when were members of our singles ministry and choir so it was great to see her getting married!

talking about cutting it close!! i had our programs done at a publishing company over the internet and they botched our program TWICE and never gave us any updates so we didn’t know there was something wrong!!
the tuesday before our wedding my alert meter was really high and wondered what was going on and called and that’s when i found out that they had botched our order. i was in full panic mode and i was blessed to find a local publishing company (keener printing) that was able to get the files on the friday before the wedding AND had them printed in 2 hours! whew!
if I had to change one thing it would have been the weight of the paper (thinking 14pt card stock is idea) but other than that it turned out like we wanted and i was surprised that our guest really loved it.
we had met our goal of having a program that our guest just didn’t lay around!!
